Library ESOL Teacher
$15 per hour
(13 hours per week) No Benefits
As a member of the library staff, responsible 6 teaching hours, and 7 prep/office hours. The ability to think creatively, be innovative, and draw on knowledge of adult education techniques. Must be committed to working well with co-workers and students and should be able to articulate the value of literacy classes in the library.
Bachelor’s degree, training in ESL/Education/Language Acquisition preferred. Personal experience in language learning preferred, bilingual candidates encouraged. Previous experience working with adults in an educational/tutorial setting, a commitment to literacy, and an interest in working with adults of diverse educational, economic, linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Computer literate with the ability to teach students basic computer skills.
