Road work update for East Providence:

RIDOT anticipates beginning milling and paving operations with lane closures next week from Sunday night to Thursday night (Approx 8 pm to 5 am) at three intersections. This work is weather dependent.

3/29/2018 - Residential Yard Debris Collection Pick Up

The City of East Providence Department of Public Works/Refuse & Recycling announces that due to the recent storm events and many calls from residents inquiring about yard waste collections MTG Disposal has agree to resume residential yard debris collection one week early.  Yard waste collection will start on Monday, March 26th.   Residents may set out for collection leaves, grass and all other vegetative material 3” in diameter or less in paper yard waste bags or barrels labeled Yard Debris that one person can lift. No plastic bags with yard debris will be collected. Yard Debris must be segregated from regular household refuse. Collection will be on the same day as your scheduled rubbish collection day. 

Yard waste paper bags and Yard Debris labels are available at City Hall, 2nd floor Engineering Office or Public Works Office at the Municipal Garage/Public Works Complex, 60 Commercial Way.  Cost for bags are 5 per bundle for $2.00, no charge for the Yard Debris labels.
